US Sports Scholarships x Maldon & Tiptree FC
U.S Sports Scholarships and US SS Tours are delighted to officially announce our new partnership with Essex based football club Maldon & Tiptree.
We have worked closely with a few of the staff members at Maldon over the years, including First Team Manager Kevin Horlock and Academy Director Liam Bailey during their time working at Colchester United, so are looking forward to re-engaging with them and working closely with the board to maximise opportunities for their talented youth players.
To celebrate and kick start the new partnership we will be hosting a male and female soccer trial on Tuesday 28th October at Maldon – a club that proudly boasts some of the best football facilities in the area, with exciting plans for imminent further development. Please visit the Events page on our site for more details and to register your place.
Our Managing Director, Liam Barrett, shared his thoughts on the partnership:
“Maldon is a club we’ve admired from afar for a long while now – they’ve built an excellent programme and continue to show real ambition in developing young players and providing excellent pathways for them both on the field and off it. From their youth setup all the way through to the senior team, there’s a real commitment to progression and player development, and we’re excited to start helping their talented athletes take the next step in their journey by exploring collegiate soccer opportunities on tours and through our placement services. A huge thanks to Barrie, Liam and Kevin for their support and help in bringing our organisations together.”
CEO, Barrie Drewitt-Barlow , added:
“We are excited to partner with U.S Sports Scholarships and US SS Tours as this gives our academy players an amazing opportunity to continue playing the sport they love while travelling and continuing their education. Long-term player development and providing first-class exit pathways is a key part of our vision for the club at Maldon, and this partnership aligns perfectly with that. The chance to travel, play football, gain a degree, and experience new cultures is something truly special – and we’re proud to help make that possible via the team at US SS.”
