US Sports Scholarships x Brightlingsea Regent FC
U.S Sports Scholarships and US SS Tours are delighted to officially announce our new partnership with Essex based football club Brightlingsea Regent FC – a club that proudly boasts some of the best football facilities and players in the local area.
We have worked closely with First Team Manager Ryan Salter, who is also Director of Football at our friends Sigma Sixth Sports Academy, for several years so are looking forward to also working with him and his team at Brightlingsea to maximise opportunities for their talented youth players.
Former Brightlingsea attacker Kenzo Shabazz-Edwards is also a client of ours and has just flown out to Oklahoma to start his freshman season with NCAA D2 powerhouses Roger State University.
Our Managing Director, Liam Barrett, shared his thoughts on the partnership:
“Brightlingsea is a club we are very familiar with having worked with Salts for a number of years through his role at Sigma, as well as us representing Walker and Kenzo over the past year who were both exploring opportunities in America. Walker earned himself a professional contract with Ipswich, so understandably has chosen that route, whereas Kenzo is now starting his adventure out in the States. Our purpose is to work with partner clubs to present options and opportunities for talented young players, that they might not realise is a possibility. Hopefully Kenzo is the first of many we can help with the process of becoming a collegiate student-athlete. A huge thanks to Ryan for his help in bringing our organisations together, he has been fantastic for supporting his players with presenting them with exit pathways.”
First Team Manager, Ryan Salter, added:
“We are excited to partner with U.S Sports Scholarships and US SS Tours as this gives our younger players, like Kenzo, an amazing opportunity to continue playing the sport they love while travelling and continuing their education. Hopefully following gradation if they do come back to the UK we can see them back on the field for our first team. Long-term player development and providing first-class exit pathways is a key part of our vision for the club at Brightlingsea, and this partnership aligns perfectly with that.”
