Tega was born in Waterford, Ireland and played academy football for Waterford Fc. He then decided to pursue college football in the states for Western Texas College. While there, Tega helped the team win the conference and region championships two times in a row and also played in the national tournament both times. After graduating from Western Texas with an associates degree, Tega decided to pursue professional football in Norway and is currently playing there while also working with talented student-athletes to help them follow in his footsteps.
