Kwan brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, having played more than 300 times across a 17 year international career with Trinidad and Tobago. This included representation at the Commonwealth Games, Pan American Games and Pan American cup.
Kwan was appointed as assistant coach to the England and GB senior men’s squad in September 2019. That came after he had already helped the sides on several occasions across the previous two years, while he was also heavily involved with the junior set ups, acting as assistant coach for England’s U21s at the 2016 Junior World Cup and working with the GB Elite Development Programme (EDP).
Kwan has also enjoyed an illustrious domestic playing career in England and currently features for Southgate as a player/coach.
Kwan also has excellent knowledge of the US Field Hockey scene. He was formerly Assistant Coach of current NCAA champions North Carolina.
