With a rich history in both playing and coaching volleyball, Busra’s journey in sports began at Emlak Bankasi Sport Club in 1991, and she quickly rose through the ranks, playing professionally for Kolejliler Sports Club and later SSK Sports Club in Türkiye.

In 2002, Busra earned a 100% volleyball scholarship to study Psychology at Hillsdale College, Michigan USA, where she excelled as an Outside Hitter. Her achievements during her college years include being named to the All-GLIAC Second Team, GLIAC South Division Player of the Week, and earning spots on All-Tournament Teams at both the Madonna University Tournament and Findlay Classics. Her academic and athletic dedication earned her a place on the GLIAC All-Academic Team and contributed to Hillsdale’s recognition with the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award. While playing at Hillsdale, she was a Volleyball Referee at the Michigan High School Athletic Association.

Following her playing career, Busra transitioned into coaching, serving as an Assistant Coach at Kean University in 2004. She furthered her education at Kean University, completing a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, which complements her strong foundation in Physical Education and Sports from Middle East Technical University, where she also minored in Psychology.

She is dedicated to helping young athletes achieve their dreams of studying and competing in the United States.
