U.S College coaches watch hours of soccer highlight videos from thousands of recruits every year so it is essential that your clip stands out on your U.S Sports Scholarship online profile. Please make sure you acknowledge the following tips before submitting your highlights to us:
– Use clips that show you’re a well-rounded soccer player with a wide range of skills. For example, demonstrate good ball control and distribution, attacking and defensive play, tactical awareness and creativity. For goalkeepers it might not be appropriate to use 11v11 footage so you could instead make a skills tape of you training.
– You don’t need hours of video footage, we typically make recruiting videos that last no longer than ten minutes, as this is easily long enough to convey your soccer skills and capabilities.
– Video quality is absolutely critical we will not accept poor quality footage, as we know it will not be well received by coaches.
– Be sure to identify yourself in each clip stating your number and/or position.
