Growing up in south and north London Freya played for a variety of UK clubs at an academy level including Fulham, Millwall, Arsenal & Chelsea as well as running the 800m. She later received a national team call up from Scotland to play in the Elite Round tournament and gained her first cap playing against Norway. She then decided to pursue a dual scholarship in America, receiving a combined athletic and academic scholarship from NCAA D1 Loyola University Chicago, where she gained a Psychology and English Literature degree and played for 4 years for Loyola Women’s soccer team and ran the 800m for the school’s track and field team. During the 4 years the team won 3 conference and tournament championship, and went to the NCAA tournament 3 times. As well as becoming one of the team captains during her senior year, and being named all conference team after scoring the tournament winning goal to win and go to the NCAA tournament. After graduating Freya went onto play for a pre professional club Chicago City and became one of the captains in her second season at the club. Since then Frey has moved back to London and hopes to help more young athletes pursue their dreams of becoming a student athlete in the US as our Head of Olympic Sports.
